Emotional Sliver is a creation by Devin Summer, during a 9-month span between 2015-2016.

"Imagine a pane of glass, the glass representing your mind. That glass holds feelings of love, sadness & nostalgia all cohesively . Now imagine the glass shattering and you have to visit each sliver and piece individually, each piece being completely different emotionally and physically. That's what Emotional Sliver is"

Summer had wanted to create a roller coaster through the saddest sections of his mind. Each song being topics of love, heartbreak and agitation. 

​

Most songs relying on a guitar pattern with a dream pop / shoegaze reverb and distorted lead melodies. Vocals being poorly sung with modern rap flow. 

​

At 16 years of age, Summer had taken lots of inspiration from the Not-Yet-Released album by Kevin Abstract "They Shoot Horses" ( Later Titled 'American Boyfriend')

Emotional Sliver was made with little to no help. All production, Mixing/Mastering, & lyrics by Devin Summer. 

​

Emotional Sliver is the first official release by Summer. E.S. will definitely be a standout solo album that will leave a mark in his career timeline. It is unique, hopefully making people question what's next.
